My Favourite Ayurvedic Healing Trinity of All Time

Turmeric is one of the world’s great natural medicines. Known as the powerful Haridra in Sanskrit, it is one of the most widely used ingredients in Ayurvedic remedies balancing all 3 doshas. It is used to treat imbalances of the skin, heart, liver and lungs. Turmeric’s therapeutic applications include anti-inflammation and detoxification of the liver. It is also widely used as a digestive aid, immune system support, decongestant, blood purifier, joint tonic and allergy relief. Most leading health practitioners today agree that inflammation is at the root of all body imbalances giving this anti-inflammatory powerhouse it’s fair share of attention lately. Personally, I can’t get enough of the flavour and feel so lucky when I have access to the fresh root.
Stevia is a sweet tasting plant, not a sugar. It has a glycemic index of zero so it will not spike blood sugar levels. Actually, this medicinal plant balances blood sugar levels, resulting in the perfect sugar-substitute for sugar addicts. If you don’t like it, you might be using it wrong. I recommend to only ever use it in it’s most natural from: the dried green leaf.
Madhura is the Sanskrit word for “sweet taste.” Ayurveda teaches that the sweet taste pacifies Vata imbalance of the mind such as worrying, over-thinking, anxiety, insomnia, and lack of concentration. Drinking sweet tasting teas at night can assist in calming these upsetting emotions that might prevent us from an essential and restful sleep. Madhura also brings peace and serenity to the unsettled heart; it’s no wonder we love sugar so much. Sugars of course excite the body so are contraindicated at night but using stevia in evening brews can greatly assist in calming the mind and preparing for restful sleep.
Rose Petals contain the essence of the rose: the royal queen of flowers. This medicine is for the heart (no surprise there). If you like the taste of rose, you are in luck. Here are some fun numbers: dried herbs like oregano and basil calibrate at a frequency of 12-22 MHz Fresh herbs like mint or parsley at 20-27 MHz. Pure Rose oil calibrates at, 320 MHz And love, has a frequency of 528 MHz
Rose’s high vibrational rate can inspire love and devotion, even to oneself. Rose is a modern-day Rasayana herb: an Ayurvedic medicine for Rejuvenation of the body. Rasayana herbs will become more and more important as the need to strengthen our worn-down or over-stressed bodies increases.
