    In Ayurveda, Soma is the juicy path. Soma is the n In Ayurveda, Soma is the juicy path. Soma is the nectar of youth. Soma is morning dew. Soma is lunar.

Soma is an in-depth and important concept in Ayurveda, yet most Ayurvedic teachings focus on the concept of Agni- represented by the radiance of the sun, the 🔥 in the belly, our digestive system; the energy of transmutation. ⁠But for every form of Agni, there is also a form of Soma as it's the opposite. Where Agni is yang, Soma is yin. ⁠If the flame of the candle is Agni, then Soma is the wax that holds it. If a busy productive day is Agni, Soma is the restful night. ⁠

Soma is nectar, ambrosia. ⁠
Soma is sustenance, nourishment.
Soma is divinity. ⁠
Soma is feminine. ⁠
Soma is the parasympathetic nervous system.⁠
Soma is the force of rejuvenation. 

The elixir of Soma creates a life of joy, happiness and contentment, free of suffering. Soma is cultivated by both internal and external practices for the purpose of eternal youthfulness 

Some speak of Soma as the force driving the pineal gland and our most prized secretion, melatonin 👁.⁠

Melatonin is Soma. ⁠
Cortisol is Agni. ⁠
⁠
As we enhance our relationship with Soma, the body becomes more elastic and the mind sharpens. ⁠And the world becomes a more balanced place.
